Senior Operational Strategy Director (Clinical Research)

Location: Remote, United States. Domestic and international travel, including overnight stays, is required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: $202,400–$304,800 USD annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and refine operational strategies for RFPs, bid defense meetings, and pre-award client opportunities.
• Analyze feasibility, enrollment, country and site recommendations, recruitment rates, study timelines, startup timelines, and competitive landscapes.
• Draft and review proposal content covering operational, scientific, medical, and clinical development planning.
• Create and review study budgets in alignment with study delivery strategy.
• Coordinate transitions from business development into project and clinical trial management, including post-award strategy handoffs.
• Represent Precision in client meetings, industry events, speaking engagements, and scientific or industry publications.

Requirements

• Approximately 18 years of experience in the CRO or pharmaceutical industry, or equivalent relevant experience and demonstrated competencies.
• Experience in operational strategy analysis, feasibility, budget review, and operational execution across all phases of clinical trials.
• Strong knowledge of clinical development and operational delivery within relevant therapeutic areas.
• Demonstrated mastery of ICH-GCP, applicable standard operating procedures, and regulatory guidance.
• Strong analytical, financial management, communication, presentation, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a matrix environment while managing strategic and detailed operational priorities.
