What you will do

• Own end-to-end engineering of fluid systems and components, including compressors, valves, and heat exchangers.
• Perform complex structural and thermal analysis using first-principle hand calculations and finite element tools.
• Execute trade studies to optimize system performance and meet program requirements.
• Develop manufacturing/assembly instructions, test plans, and manage the Bill-of-Materials (BOM).
• Identify and develop suppliers for all critical components.
• Conduct risk analysis (FMEA) for subsystems and provide expertise across multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (PE) Mechanical license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aeronautical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in designing, building, and testing fluid systems.
• Proficient knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and pressure vessel/piping design.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of thermodynamic power cycles, high-temperature materials, and creep-fatigue structural analysis.
• Experience with process piping design and testing codes such as ASME B31.3, BPVC Section III & VIII, and PCC-2.
• Fluid system modeling experience using Matlab or Python.
• Expertise in design for manufacturability and operating test stands.
