Senior Software Engineer (JVM/AWS)

What you will do

• Drive the design and implementation of new features, translating complex problems into elegant, maintainable code.
• Design and deliver robust microservices integrations using REST/gRPC APIs and event-driven messaging patterns (events/queues).
• Create and maintain test automation to ensure continuous integration and high development velocity.
• Mentor other engineers through thoughtful code, design, and architecture reviews.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data science, design, product, marketing, and analytics teams.
• Debug production issues across the services infrastructure and multiple levels of the stack.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one JVM language (Java, Kotlin, or Scala) and frameworks like Spring or Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle) and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with streaming and messaging technologies such as Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, and AWS Kinesis.
• Must be based in Mexico.
• No visa sponsorship or immigration support available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and microservice architecture.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or LLMs.
