TL;DR

Senior SQL / ETL Engineer (SQL Server): Supporting data migration, transformation, and database operations for a consulting client with an accent on SQL development, ETL workflows, and large-scale data cleanup. Focus on optimizing complex queries, ensuring data integrity across systems, and developing stored procedures.

Location: Remote within the US (Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.)

What you will do

  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts.
  • Load, transform, and validate large datasets within SQL Server environments.
  • Support ETL workflows including extraction, cleansing, and migration activities.
  • Perform data cleanup and manipulation tasks to improve overall data quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to deliver accurate data solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for database and ETL processes.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in SQL development and SQL Server environments.
  • Expertise in advanced SQL query writing and optimization.
  • Proven experience with stored procedures and ETL processes.
  • Experience with data manipulation, cleanup, and migration.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. (No sponsorship available).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with automated data pipelines or ETL tools.
  • Background in enterprise data migration initiatives.
  • Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments.
  • Exposure to reporting or BI tools.
