What you will do

• Own delivery for significant features and critical product components end-to-end.
• Design and build scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that support core product functionality.
• Drive system design decisions, balancing scalability, performance, reliability, and cost.
• Define and automate quality metrics, testing strategies, and observability for your area.
• Lead structured experimentation to translate insights into product and system improvements.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on technical guidance.

Requirements

• Must be based in Mexico
• 6+ years of overall experience in software engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on coding experience.
• 3+ years of experience building and shipping production systems within product teams.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience scaling distributed systems and utilizing cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Nice to have

• Experience building data-driven or ML-enabled systems.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, streaming systems, or large-scale data processing.
• Experience with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, or performance optimization.
• Exposure to modern AI tools or integrations.
