What you will do

• Lead the technical migration of Python-based microservices, data pipelines, and security APIs into production-grade Rust.
• Profile legacy Python services to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize CPU, memory, and I/O utilization.
• Champion Rust best practices, including strict error handling, automated testing, and CI/CD linting paradigms.
• Collaborate with security experts to ensure modules adhere to Zero-Trust architecture and memory-safety mandates.
• Participate in architecture reviews and system design alongside cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience building high-performance backend applications in Rust.
• Deep expertise in asynchronous programming (Tokio ecosystem), advanced trait design, and safe concurrency.
• Strong competency in Python to profile and reverse-engineer complex existing codebases.
• Proven track record of designing scalable distributed systems and low-latency RESTful or gRPC APIs.
• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (AWS or GCP).
• Must be based in Latin America.
