What you will do
- Drive end-to-end technical execution of the first product launch, from concept through architecture, validation, and launch.
- Coordinate hardware and control-software roadmaps across electronics, firmware, and systems integration teams.
- Lead program planning for hardware design, embedded firmware, reliability, compliance, and manufacturing.
- Partner with technical leads to define product requirements, validation strategies, and decision gates.
- Own engineering BOM strategy and NPI readiness to balance performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Establish and track DFMEA-driven risk management to identify and mitigate design and manufacturing failures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (power electronics focus strongly preferred).
- 5+ years leading complex multidisciplinary engineering programs involving power electronics or hardware-software systems.
- Strong technical foundation in converter architectures, control strategies, and system-level tradeoffs.
- Experience working with firmware teams on control loops, timing constraints, and hardware-software dependencies.
- Proven ability to drive programs from concept through validation and manufacturing launch.
- Must be based in or able to work on-site in Scotts Valley.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience designing, validating, or debugging inverters and rectifiers.
- Proficiency with power electronics simulation tools like PLECS, MATLAB, or Simulink.
- Experience with UL/IEC compliance for power conversion equipment.
- Familiarity with PLM systems (Enovia), CATIA, or Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
