TL;DR
Technical Program Manager (Semiconductor): Driving complex silicon IC and hardware development programs from concept through production with an accent on cross-functional execution, schedule management, and vendor coordination. Focus on managing tape-out, package development, board bring-up, validation, production readiness, and resolving risks across ASIC/SoC, firmware, hardware, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

Location: Hybrid, requiring 3 days per week onsite at the HQ in Vancouver, WA (Greater Portland Area); remote flexibility may be considered for exceptional candidates in Chandler, AZ.

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 annual base salary, plus stock options.

What you will do

  • Manage end-to-end engineering programs for silicon IC and hardware development from planning through production release.
  • Drive execution across ASIC/SoC design, verification, physical design, firmware, hardware, validation, operations, and manufacturing teams.
  • Develop schedules, milestones, dependencies, resource plans, risk assessments, and critical-path tracking.
  • Coordinate vendors, design partners, contractors, manufacturing suppliers, and external stakeholders to meet schedule, quality, and cost targets.
  • Manage silicon milestones including specification freeze, RTL release, tape-out, package development, board bring-up, validation, and production readiness.
  • Lead program reviews, executive updates, issue escalation, change management, and continuous improvement of program management processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of program management experience in semiconductor, ASIC/SoC, or hardware product development environments.
  • Strong understanding of silicon IC development flows, including architecture, design, verification, physical design, tape-out, bring-up, and production.
  • Experience managing PCB and system development, prototype builds, lab validation, and system integration.
  • Proven ability to coordinate third-party vendors, design houses, manufacturing partners, and suppliers.
  • Strong planning, risk management, problem-solving, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; experience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project, or equivalent.

Nice to have

  • Experience managing mixed-signal SoC or high-performance silicon development programs.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing, packaging, testing, and supply chain operations.
  • Experience supporting silicon bring-up, validation, and production ramp activities.
