What you will do

• Execute end-to-end analytical projects from problem framing to recommendations for Mailchimp Customer Success.
• Design, run, and interpret A/B tests and quasi-experimental analyses to measure program effectiveness.
• Develop analytical models and insights to improve customer engagement, retention, and health.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends and opportunities across the customer lifecycle.
• Create actionable narratives and visualizations to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with AI/ML and Product teams to evaluate the impact of AI-enabled customer experiences.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in data science, analytics, or product analytics.
• Strong foundation in statistics and experimentation, including A/B testing and observational analyses.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, statsmodels).
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Science).
• Ability to work from the Mountain View or San Diego offices.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS, fintech, or marketing technology for SMB-focused products.
• Familiarity with causal inference techniques (e.g., matching, DiD) and GTM analytics.
• Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
• Knowledge of version control (git) and building reusable analytical workflows.
• Exposure to AI/ML or LLM-enabled analytics.
