TL;DR
Staff Data Scientist (Fintech): Building data infrastructure and analytical systems to drive product and marketing decisions with an accent on statistical inference, experimentation, and predictive modeling. Location: Hybrid: Must be based in or willing to relocate to New York or San Francisco (2–3 days per week onsite)
Salary: $200K – $250K + Equity

What you will do
- Apply statistical inference and causal analysis to improve LTV/CAC and accelerate feedback loops.
- Lead A/B testing by partnering with cross-functional teams to design and analyze experiments rigorously.
- Build segmentation frameworks and predictive models for churn, LTV, and propensity to optimize lifecycle marketing.
- Develop agentic workflows and AI-driven systems to automate the data science lifecycle and business insights.
- Translate complex data into narratives that influence executive strategy and product decisions.
- Own projects end-to-end from problem definition through implementation, deployment, and monitoring.
Requirements
- 7-12+ years of experience in data science or analytics, preferably in high-growth startups or fintech.
- Graduate degree in statistics, engineering, science, or finance.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data transformation and dataset building.
- Proven ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to New York or San Francisco.
Nice to have
- Experience building experimentation or ML infrastructure.
- Familiarity with dashboarding tools such as Sigma or Looker.
- Domain experience in credit, lending, or card products.
- Background in time series analysis, forecasting, optimization, or simulation.
