TL;DR
Data Scientist, People (AI): Building intelligence systems for hiring, compensation, and organizational design with an accent on predictive modeling and AI automation. Focus on developing AI agents to automate high-stakes People decisions and optimizing workforce planning through rigorous data analysis.
Location: Hybrid in Foster City, CA (In-office requirement: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday)
Compensation: $210,000 – $350,000 + Equity

What you will do
- Build predictive models and AI agents to automate high-stakes recommendations for compensation, promotion, and hiring.
- Develop a live compensation competitiveness system integrating market benchmarks and offer data.
- Create a recruiting analytics layer to optimize sourcing channels and improve hiring efficiency.
- Analyze organizational effectiveness, talent density, and structural efficiency to identify over-leveled or inefficient areas.
- Collaborate with Finance to build live workforce models accounting for attrition and ramp time.
- Use LLMs and agentic workflows to analyze unstructured People data from exit interviews, performance reviews, and surveys.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in People, compensation, or workforce analytics.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Solid statistical foundation, including experimentation and causal inference.
- Demonstrated experience integrating AI and LLMs into analytics workflows.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive organizational and compensation data with discretion.
- Must be based in or able to work hybrid from Foster City, CA (Mon, Wed, Fri)
Nice to have
- Experience at a high-growth or AI-native company.
- Familiarity with dbt, BigQuery, Snowflake, or People systems (Rippling, Ashby, Lattice, Carta).
- Experience building on or using NLP for unstructured text analysis.
- Interest in the evolution of AI-native organizations.
