What you will do

• Direct and coordinate teams to resolve conflicts and interpret rules for electrical system operations.
• Develop work instructions and restoration plans for planned and emergent electrical system work.
• Identify work bundling opportunities and create coordinated plans to assess system risks.
• Collaborate with system study engineers and project schedulers to ensure schedule accuracy.
• Lead huddle and shutdown schedule review meetings for complex projects.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on shutdown optimization.

Requirements

• Seven to ten years of operational experience in electric generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
• Advanced knowledge of high voltage electrical equipment in utility substations.
• Advanced knowledge of overhead and underground electric utility systems.
• Proven experience as a System Operator, Power Dispatcher, or electrical equipment operator.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States (W2 contract role).

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or electrical trade certification.
• Ten years of experience in system operations or power dispatching.
• Five years of experience supervising system operators or unionized electrical workers.
• Six Sigma Yellow, Green, or Blackbelt certification.
• NERC BI, BIT, or RC Operator certification.
• Proficiency in project scheduling tools like Primavera or Excel.
