What you will do

• Develop cell-based functional, biochemical, enzymatic, and screening assays for novel therapeutics.
• Perform aseptic mammalian cell culture, transient transfections, and stable cell line generation.
• Design, develop, and optimize in vitro enzymatic assays, including ADP-Glo and Kinase-Glo.
• Operate plate readers, liquid-handling robots, and assay automation systems using 96- and 384-well formats.
• Conduct gene expression studies using qPCR, western blot, and FACS.
• Analyze concentration-response curves, binding affinity, potency, Hill slope, in vitro efficacy, and drug mechanisms of action.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of laboratory experience.
• B.S. and/or M.S. in Biology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Expertise in mammalian cell culture, transfections, cell-based assays, biochemical and enzymatic assays, and therapeutic screening.
• Knowledge of basic pharmacology and experience with colorimetric, luminescence, fluorescence, and HTRF readouts.
• Strong communication, independent data analysis, accurate record keeping, prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work onsite in Boston, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with native cell lines, primary cell cultures, iPSCs, co-cultures, or 3D cultures.
• Industry experience and exposure to multiple therapeutic target classes and modalities.
• Experience with ELISA assays.
• Background in cardiometabolic diseases.
