Salary: $195K – $240K + Equity

What you will do
- Design and own the total compensation philosophy, including salary bands, equity guidelines, and bonus structures.
- Build and maintain a job architecture and leveling framework to ensure consistency across the company.
- Lead annual and mid-year compensation review cycles in collaboration with Finance and People Business Partners.
- Manage all equity program administration, including grant processes, refresh cycles, and employee education.
- Oversee end-to-end benefits programs, managing broker relationships, plan design, and open enrollment.
- Partner with Recruiting to build competitive offer packages to secure top-tier talent.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards within high-growth tech or SaaS companies.
- Experience building compensation structures and leveling frameworks, ideally in a pre-IPO environment.
- Deep expertise in equity compensation, including option plans and RSUs.
- Proven ability to design and administer competitive benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, 401k).
- Data-driven mindset with experience using market data (e.g., Pave, Levels.fyi) to create defensible models.
- Must be based in San Francisco as this is an in-office role.
Nice to have
- Experience scaling a company from approximately 100 to over 500 employees.
- Experience with executive compensation and reporting at the board level.
- Knowledge of structuring compensation for international expansion across multiple geographies.
- Proficiency with HR tech and compensation tools such as Carta, Pave, Radford, Workday, or Rippling.
