What you will do

• Design, optimize, and maintain complex TSQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts to support reporting and business applications.
• Manage and monitor TSQL database performance through query and index tuning and statistics monitoring.
• Create and improve maintenance plans, backup, restore, and replication schedules driven by end-user processes.
• Administer and monitor Windows server failover clusters and cloud-based databases within AWS.
• Support the deployment of new databases and schema objects in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Ensure database security, perform regular patching, and generate performance and utilization reports.

Requirements

• US citizenship with active Top-Secret clearance.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in database administration (or equivalent certifications/work history).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or an additional 3 years of experience).
• Strong proficiency in TSQL query writing, tuning, and performance optimization.
• Deep understanding of database architecture, design, and security access controls.
• Experience performing updates, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on database platforms.

Nice to have

• Prior federal government experience supporting law enforcement or scientific organizations.
• Experience assessing and migrating on-premises databases to cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Analytic capabilities and solutions.
• Experience documenting client infrastructure and operational processes.
