What you will do

• Design and maintain enterprise relational and NoSQL database systems.
• Manage database infrastructure across on-premises and AWS environments.
• Optimize database performance, query execution, and indexing strategies.
• Implement high availability, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate databases into CI/CD pipelines.
• Enforce security best practices, including encryption and role-based access control.

Requirements

• Active U.S. Government security clearance (Secret or higher) required.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• 4–8+ years of professional database administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with major database platforms like Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Proven experience managing AWS cloud environments (RDS, EC2, Aurora).
• Proficiency in SQL scripting and database performance tuning.

Nice to have

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
• Background in supporting federal or defense-related environments.
• Experience with ETL processes and large-scale data migrations.
