TL;DR

Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A): Supporting financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across a growing CPG business with an accent on trade investment, product profitability, and supply chain impacts. Focus on building financial models, developing KPI dashboards, and translating complex financial data into actionable business recommendations for leadership.

Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Chicago, IL

What you will do

  • Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning activities.
  • Build and maintain customer-specific forecasts incorporating trade spend, pricing, and consumer demand.
  • Develop KPI dashboards and financial reporting packages for leadership decision-making.
  • Create financial models for new product launches, profitability analysis, and ad hoc business cases.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to evaluate business initiatives.
  • Improve reporting processes and data analytics capabilities using existing platforms and AI-enabled tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, preferably in CPG or food and beverage.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, complex formulas, and macros.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and CPG financial metrics.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience in a matrixed, fast-moving environment.
