Calculations & Benefits Analyst (Pensions)

What you will do

• Design, build and deliver pension calculation solutions and implementation projects, including new business and regulatory initiatives.
• Develop and review calculation proformas, test grids and supporting documentation.
• Perform user acceptance testing and investigate calculation discrepancies.
• Work with Administration, Systems, BAU teams and external stakeholders to embed new systems and processes.
• Identify process improvements and support transformation, governance, risk management and post-implementation reviews.
• Coach junior colleagues and deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timelines.

Requirements

• Good understanding of UK defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience in calculation-based roles within defined benefit pensions.
• Experience supporting implementation, change or transformation projects.
• Ability to interpret scheme rules, technical documents and complex requirements and turn them into practical solutions.
• Clear communication, strong organisation, commercial awareness and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
