What you will do

• Perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance on inverters, trackers, PV modules, and DC/AC collection systems.
• Execute switching and clearance orders and operate electrical and mechanical power plant systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, instrumentation, and inverters to ensure optimal site performance.
• Lead and train field personnel while working independently or as part of a crew.
• Document maintenance activities, write plant procedures, and assist with site vegetation mitigation plans.
• Ensure all work complies with environmental and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work in Central Valle, CA
• 2-year technical degree or equivalent Journeyman qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a PV O&M solar technician.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a power plant environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical/mechanical fundamentals and substation operations.
• Ability to work outdoors, climb ladders, and operate in various weather conditions.
