Interaction Designer (AI)

What you will do

• Design interaction models for AI-driven flows, including task initiation, monitoring, pausing, correction, and completion.
• Define interaction states for AI interfaces, including thinking, acting, waiting, uncertainty, interruption, failure, and recovery.
• Design human-in-the-loop controls for reviewing decisions, overriding actions, approvals, escalation, reversibility, and recovery.
• Create interaction specifications, annotated flows, and prototypes for engineering handoff.
• Work with product, ML, and engineering teams to translate AI capabilities and constraints into usable interaction patterns.
• Test designs with users and contribute to a reusable HCI interaction pattern library.

Requirements

• Experience as an interaction designer or senior UX designer with strong interaction design depth.
• Ability to design states, transitions, edge cases, and failure handling at a detailed level.
• Strong prototyping skills in Figma or equivalent tools.
• Systematic thinking and the ability to map complex AI behavior into coherent user-facing interaction logic.
• Strong understanding of HCI principles, including user control, transparency, feedback, and graceful recovery.
• Experience working closely with engineers and designing for non-deterministic systems.
