What you will do

• Design detailed interaction models for AI-driven flows, including initiation, monitoring, and completion of multi-step tasks.
• Define interaction states for AI interfaces, such as idle, thinking, acting, uncertain, and recovered.
• Create human-in-the-loop controls to allow users to review AI decisions and override actions.
• Develop interaction patterns for delegation, approval, correction, and recovery.
• Produce detailed interaction specifications, annotated flows, and prototypes for engineering handoff.
• Test designs with real users to identify and resolve friction caused by non-deterministic AI behavior.

Requirements

• Strong depth in interaction design or senior UX design experience.
• Ability to design at a micro level, including states, transitions, and failure handling.
• Advanced prototyping skills in Figma or equivalent tools.
• Deep understanding of HCI principles regarding user control, transparency, and feedback.
• Experience designing for systems where output is non-deterministic.
• Proven track record of collaborating closely with engineers to ensure precise implementation.
