Location: Must be based in Poland and have sponsorship/authorization to live and work in Poland. Role is remote but may require periodic visits to a hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Implement SRE concepts to improve product and system reliability and reduce operational toil.
• Perform root cause analysis for customer-impacting issues and document solutions.
• Lead cross-team technical collaboration and serve as an escalation point for critical customer issues.
• Create technical documentation for proof of concepts, project work, and alerting patterns.
• Define and communicate the business value and technical breakdown of new SRE initiatives.
• Provide occasional off-hours support for deployments and critical escalations.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT.
• Proficiency in identifying, tuning, and fixing software issues in Java.
• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes.
• Strong expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, CloudFront, EKS, and RDS (Aurora).
• Experience using system monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Ability to optimize SQL queries and perform database engine tuning.

Nice to have

• Experience solving production Java issues using heap dumps, thread dumps, and profilers.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience writing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience defining and implementing Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
