Location: Must be based in one of the following countries: UK, Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, or Switzerland.

Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 + Equity + Bonus

What you will do

• Own and evolve Cloudflare edge configurations, including WAF rules, Bot Protection, and DNS architecture.
• Manage the ingress and reverse-proxy layer, including HAProxy, TLS termination, and mTLS.
• Build self-service automation for edge configuration using Terraform to empower engineering teams.
• Develop solutions using Cloudflare Workers and R2 Storage to optimize traffic and reduce origin load.
• Partner with Security teams to implement DDoS prevention, credential-stuffing protection, and ACL management.
• Lead incident response for edge/ingress-related issues and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an SRE, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineer with ownership of edge/CDN systems.
• Production experience with Cloudflare (WAF, Rulesets, DNS, certificate management).
• Hands-on experience operating HAProxy or comparable reverse proxies.
• Proficiency with AWS networking primitives (Direct Connect, Load Balancers, VPC routing).
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and either Python or Golang.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and observability stacks (Grafana, Splunk).

Nice to have

• Experience with Cloudflare One VPN management.
• Strong Kubernetes experience, including building Operators or CRDs.
• Background in highly regulated or financial services environments.
• Experience troubleshooting low-level Linux performance bottlenecks.
