What you will do

• Embed within the SF AI ecosystem by attending meetups, hackathons, and research demos to act as a trusted company presence.
• Maintain a structured view of the AI vendor and startup landscape, tracking emerging frameworks and architectural patterns.
• Build authentic peer relationships with AI researchers, startup founders, and enterprise architects.
• Prototype and evaluate new AI tools, APIs, and agentic frameworks to produce concise technical evaluations.
• Translate external field signals into actionable insights for internal product, engineering, and leadership teams.

Requirements

• 7-10+ years in a technical hands-on role such as engineering, ML, or solutions engineering.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen.
• Strong Python skills and proficiency with APIs and cloud infrastructure.
• Demonstrated presence in the AI community via open-source contributions, writing, or speaking.
• Must be based in San Francisco or willing to be deeply embedded there.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in forward deployed engineering or developer relations roles.
• An existing professional network within the SF AI/ML ecosystem.
• Familiarity with enterprise software procurement and IT buyer personas.
• Established public presence through a newsletter or AI-focused writing.
