About the Role

You will work directly with product leadership to design prompt architecture, define workflows, and own feature delivery end-to-end. You will build multi-step AI pipelines with structured output parsing, confidence scoring, failure recovery, and audit logging. You will integrate third-party financial data APIs, parse financial documents into typed data models, and extend deterministic preprocessing and heuristic layers to make AI output reliable for audit. You will contribute to evaluation frameworks with structured tests and scoring rubrics, and work cross-functionally with finance practitioners, product, design, and leadership to scope and deliver production-ready features.

Requirements

• Production full-stack TypeScript experience
• Strong Node.js backend skills including REST APIs, middleware auth, async pipelines, batching, retries, and timeouts
• React and TypeScript experience for complex responsive UIs
• Familiarity with state management (Zustand) and schema validation (Zod)
• Exposure to distributed systems and microservice failure modes
• Strong Postgres experience including data modeling, indexing, and query troubleshooting
• Experience designing versioned config and audit-trail schemas
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Initiative and ability to propose alternatives and drive work independently
• Ability to work cross-functionally and own features end-to-end

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the VP on prompt architecture, workflow design, and product roadmap
• Own full-stack feature delivery from Postgres schema through API layer through React UI
• Build and maintain multi-step AI pipelines including prompt chaining, structured output parsing, confidence scoring, failure recovery, and audit-trail logging
• Integrate third-party financial data APIs into production workflows
• Build financial document ingestion pipelines to parse spreadsheets and structured reports into typed data models
• Maintain and extend deterministic pre-processing and heuristic layers to ensure reliable AI output for audit
• Contribute to the AI output evaluation framework with structured test inputs, expected outputs, and scoring rubrics
• Work cross-functionally with finance practitioners, product, design, and leadership to scope and refine features
