Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX (2–3 days in office). Must have current, unrestricted authorization to work in the US; no immigration sponsorship available.

What you will do

• Define and own the UI modernization roadmap across 20+ products spanning React, PHP, Rails, and .NET legacy stacks.
• Partner with designers to evolve the existing design system into a scalable, cross-portfolio standard.
• Establish team-wide standards for AI-assisted development and coach the team on AI tool usage.
• Mentor frontend engineers on UI best practices, component architecture, and modernization patterns.
• Collaborate closely with designers from Figma sessions to production validation to ensure design intent is met.
• Execute incremental modernization using strangler patterns and feature flags to ensure rollback-safe deployments.

Requirements

• 8+ years in frontend engineering with at least 3 years in an architecture role.
• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript, with hands-on experience modernizing legacy stacks.
• Proven track record of designing and scaling component libraries and design systems across multiple products.
• Demonstrated daily use of AI coding tools in production and the ability to coach others.
• Experience leading incremental UI modernization of live, customer-facing products.
• Must have current, unrestricted US work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience across 10+ product codebases simultaneously or in a platform engineering capacity.
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards at an architecture level.
• Exposure to design token systems and multi-brand theming.
• Background in SaaS or multi-tenant product environments.
