What you will do

• Build and maintain backend services using Python and Node.js with serverless architectures like AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
• Develop AI-driven platforms, including agentic learning systems and multi-agent orchestration.
• Implement and optimize DynamoDB single-table design patterns for high performance and scalability.
• Orchestrate complex workflows using event-driven processes via SQS, EventBridge, and Step Functions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features within a mature production environment.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Must be based in Canada.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Node.js.
• Deep experience with LLM tool calling, prompt engineering, RAG, and vector databases such as OpenSearch.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, EventBridge).
• Experience building and maintaining fullstack applications in production environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Langfuse and synthetic AI testing.
• Expertise in token cost optimization and reasoning effort configuration.
• Demonstrated ability to identify design gaps in requirements before development begins.
