What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable distributed core services using TypeScript and cloud-native technologies.
• Architect reliable asynchronous systems using Kafka and Temporal for complex workflow orchestration.
• Own the evolution of enterprise-grade authentication and authorization frameworks.
• Design and optimize high-throughput document-based storage systems using MongoDB.
• Establish architectural standards and mentor engineering staff to ensure system reliability and security.
• Partner with Product and Infrastructure teams to align platform capabilities with strategic roadmaps.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend and distributed systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and production experience with Temporal, Kafka, MongoDB, and AWS.
• Proven experience in high-growth Series B or C startup environments.
• Strong background in the B2B SaaS domain.
• Demonstrated success building complex data pipelines and identity systems from scratch.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity in San Jose, California.
