Machinist III - 2nd/3rd Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY; support for 2nd shift from 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM, with 2nd and 3rd shift differential pay.

Salary: $32.00–$37.00 per hour, plus a potential $3,500 sign-on bonus subject to the bonus agreement and application dates.

What you will do

• Perform precision machining and CNC programming using CAM systems for complex parts, fixtures, tooling, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.
• Plan jobs, develop fixturing and layouts, and make technical decisions on tooling, setups, and inspection methods.
• Machine components to very tight tolerances of .0001–.0002.
• Inspect completed work and maintain responsibility for quality.
• Collaborate with design draftsmen and manufacturing engineers to resolve unusual conditions, material defects, and production issues.

Requirements

• Four years of experience as a diversified machinist.
• Knowledge of G and M codes.
• Ability to perform precision machining and CNC programming on CAM systems.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, or ability to understand and apply written, verbal, and computer work instructions in English.
• Ability to work onsite in Buffalo, NY and support 2nd shift hours.
• Enrollment and participation in the FAA Drug & Alcohol Program is required for safety-sensitive work.

• Previous CAD/CAM experience.
