NPI Product Engineer (Semiconductor Inspection)

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; on-site role with domestic and international travel of up to 10–20%.

Salary: $95,000–$139,333 annually.

What you will do

• Build systems-engineering knowledge of wafer inspection systems, including image-processing servers, wafer stages, vibration isolation, motion control, opto-mechanical systems, and automated wafer handling.
• Support internal and external customers with system operation, installation, upgrades, diagnosis, repair, and applications.
• Resolve escalated issues through written action plans and hands-on assistance at customer sites across Asia, the United States, and Europe.
• Write technical reports covering issues, analysis, technical assessments, system status, and engineering recommendations.
• Implement and supervise NPI and sustaining work, including diagnostic improvements, software feature requirements, training plans, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on concept and design reviews and drive small projects in a matrix environment.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with 0 years of related experience, bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience building, operating, and troubleshooting hirify.global inspection systems.
• Knowledge of servers, electrical and mechanical systems, and/or motion control.
• Knowledge or experience with industry-standard problem-solving methodologies and models.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to explain sophisticated technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to quickly understand technical information and adapt between program tasks and service-team needs.
• Interest in technology, human factors, business improvement, communication, and building working relationships.
• Availability for domestic and international travel of up to 10–20%.
