Field Deployment Specialist (IoT)

TL;DR

Field Deployment Specialist (IoT): Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Drone as a First Responder (DFR) systems across the U.S. with an accent on infrastructure deployment and hardware configuration. Focus on conducting site assessments, installing drone docks and cameras, and resolving field-based technical issues.

Location: Remote (USA), requiring up to 100% travel across the United States. Candidates must live within 60 miles of a major airport.

Salary: $60K – $85K + Equity + Overtime

What you will do

• Travel nationwide to install, maintain, and support DFR systems.
• Perform site assessments to confirm power, mounting, connectivity, and access requirements.
• Install and configure hardware including cameras, drone docks, and supporting infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues in the field.
• Complete detailed installation documentation, including photos and service records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and optimize field operations.

Requirements

• Experience with drone systems, surveillance technology, or public safety environments.
• Background in field-based work such as construction, low-voltage installation, or telecommunications.
• FAA Part 107 Certification (or willingness to obtain within 45 days of hire).
• Valid driver’s license and REAL ID/passport for extensive US travel.
• Basic understanding of networking, electrical systems, and mechanical assembly.
• Physical ability to lift 75+ lbs and work at elevated heights (ladders, lifts, rooftops).
