Senior Technical Business Analyst (Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Technical Business Analyst (Fintech): Certifying the quality of new and existing products by executing comprehensive test plans and certification scenarios within the payments and FinTech domain with an accent on End-to-End Certifications and Host Test Systems (HTS). Focus on ensuring systems function according to requirements, industry standards, and regulatory expectations.

Location: Must be based in the United States (excluding California). Hybrid options available in multiple cities (Louisville, Allen, Birmingham, etc.)

What you will do

• Plan, execute, and certify end-to-end and HTS testing efforts for payment processing environments.
• Create and maintain detailed test plans, certification scripts, and complex test scenarios.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Developers, QA teams, and banking customers throughout certification efforts.
• Analyze results, document defects, and perform causal analysis to track issues to resolution.
• Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure requirements and timelines are met.
• Provide training, mentoring, and cross-training to less experienced QA team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, software testing, or certification within complex systems.
• Experience in the payments, financial services, or FinTech industry.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and software testing lifecycle.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and collaboration tools.
• Must be based in the US, except for residents of California.

Nice to have

• Experience with EFT, ATM, debit, or retail banking transaction processing systems.
• In-depth familiarity with transaction processing standards such as ISO 8583 or ISO 20022.
• Experience with Unix-based operating systems, preferably IBM Unix environments.
• Experience with test automation or reviewing automated scripts.
• Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments.
