TL;DR
A123 & Remediation Senior Manager (Finance): Leading teams focused on internal control, audit remediation, and process improvement for a large federal customer with an accent on OMB Circular A-123 activities. Focus on developing corrective action plans, performing Test of Design (TOD) and Test of Operating Effectiveness (TOE), and ensuring compliance with federal auditing standards.
Location: 100% remote (except for 1-2 short domestic business trips per year). Must be available during normal business hours (8AM to 5PM EST).
Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 per year

What you will do
- Lead and develop staff assigned to the project team, providing guidance and professional oversight.
- Manage and direct A-123 and audit remediation activities, including grants management and internal controls.
- Oversee the development of business process cycle memos consisting of narratives, flowcharts, and control evaluation matrixes.
- Perform Test of Design (TOD) and Test of Operating Effectiveness (TOE) of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to remediate internal and external audit findings through process improvement and new policies.
- Prepare ad-hoc reporting and assist with special projects as required by the client.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or another related business degree.
- Minimum of ten years of experience performing, managing, or directing internal control and audit projects.
- Experience managing an A123 and/or audit remediation contract at a large federal agency.
- Proficiency in United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) and federal financial statement preparation.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Note: Position is contingent upon award (Q2 2026).
Nice to have
- Experience with Homeland Security or FEMA Grants.
- Relevant certifications such as CPA, CGFM, CDFM, CISA, and/or PMP.
- Prior financial statement audit experience.
