What you will do

• Lead hands-on engineering efforts, writing high-quality code in TypeScript, JavaScript, Next, and React.
• Oversee architectural health and cross-platform consistency between web and mobile interfaces.
• Manage distributed onshore and nearshore development teams to ensure project velocity and quality.
• Collaborate with the Mobile Tech Lead to guide React Native development and app store deployments.
• Set engineering standards, including testing, secure cloud practices, and code reviews.
• Align technical designs with business priorities through communication with senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must be based in or near Reading / Thames Valley, UK.
• Extensive professional experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Next, and React.
• Proven experience managing and leading distributed development teams.
• Deep understanding of mobile architecture and performance tuning.
• Practical experience building and deploying applications in Microsoft Azure.
• Strong consultative mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into technical designs.
