TL;DR

Senior Manager, Regulatory Controls (Banking): Leading the development and oversight of regulatory control frameworks across Corporate & Institutional Banking with an accent on translating regulatory requirements into sustainable control solutions. Focus on designing robust governance, managing regulatory change, and optimizing control processes to improve operational resilience.

Location: Hybrid (London, Birmingham, or Edinburgh). Must spend at least two days per week (40% of time) at one of the office sites.

What you will do

  • Lead the design, implementation, and oversight of regulatory control frameworks across CIB and LBCM.
  • Act as a regulatory subject matter expert to shape responses to regulatory enquiries and examinations.
  • Monitor and continuously improve regulatory controls, driving the remediation of control weaknesses and audit findings.
  • Direct the delivery of regulatory reform initiatives, including business impact assessments and governance.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team while building partnerships across Risk, Compliance, and Product teams.
  • Represent the function at senior governance forums and committees.

Requirements

  • Significant experience overseeing the design and operation of regulatory controls within a large financial services or banking organisation.
  • 5+ years of experience working within CIB or a wholesale/investment banking environment.
  • 5+ years of experience leading regulatory change delivery and translating requirements into control frameworks.
  • Proven experience identifying control weaknesses and driving remediation of material issues or audit findings.
  • Strong leadership and relationship management capabilities to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic approach to control design, including simplification and the use of data for effectiveness.
