What you will do

• Oversee legal strategy and provide direct supervision to a team of attorneys and DOJ-accredited representatives.
• Develop and monitor intake procedures, case acceptance policies, and caseload targets.
• Provide direct legal representation to a limited caseload of clients before USCIS, including complex cases.
• Lead all aspects of the grant cycle, including proposal development, budgeting, and reporting.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with community-based organizations and nonprofit legal providers.
• Collaborate with the HQ Legal Services Technical Unit to refresh program policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Law degree (JD or LLM) from an ABA-accredited U.S. institution and member in good standing of any state bar.
• 5-7 years of experience providing direct representation to refugees and humanitarian migrants.
• At least 2 years of experience supervising attorneys or DOJ accredited representatives.
• Experience managing and administering private and public grants.
• Ability to travel frequently within the service area.

Nice to have

• Bilingual proficiency in one or more languages (e.g., Spanish, French, Arabic).
• Fundraising experience.
• Program management experience.
