Associate (Private Equity)

Location: New York, NY, United States; onsite office position.

Base salary: $100,000–$170,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus for eligible active employees.

hirify.global Asset & Wealth Management provides investment and advisory services across traditional and alternative investments for institutional and individual clients. Petershill Strategies invests in non-controlling equity interests in alternative asset managers and supports their strategic development.

What you will do

• Conduct due diligence and evaluate GP stakes and preferred equity transactions across strategy- and sector-focused general partners.
• Perform fundamental valuation and develop written and oral materials for Investment Committee review, including follow-up analysis.
• Coordinate investment execution with internal counsel, compliance, risk and liquidity management teams, as well as private market GPs and external counsel.
• Build relationships with alternative asset managers and contribute to thematic sourcing initiatives.
• Monitor the performance and risk profile of existing portfolio investments.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, M&A, Leverage Finance, GP stakes, Private Equity, or other private or public markets investing.
• Sound investment judgment and strong numerical, financial modeling, analytical and valuation skills for assessing investment opportunities.
• Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to make recommendations to the Investment Committee and interact with third parties.
• Excellent time, people and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
