  • Trace transactions, reconcile records, and investigate alleged fraud, asset misappropriation, embezzlement, and disputed accounting practices.
  • Research GAAP and other accounting standards and evaluate accounting treatments, methodologies, assumptions, projections, and claimed losses.
  • Support post-closing M&A disputes, lost-profits and economic-damages analyses, business valuations, and discounted cash flow models.

  • Two to four years of relevant experience in public accounting, audit, forensic accounting, litigation consulting, financial investigations, valuation, or a related advisory practice.
  • Strong foundation in GAAP, accounting methodology, and financial statement analysis, including relationships among the general ledger, trial balance, income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, professional judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to develop well-supported conclusions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain accounting issues and financial analyses to attorneys and nontechnical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple assignments, deadlines, organized analyses, accuracy, completeness, confidentiality, and reproducibility.

Nice to have

  • CPA designation or demonstrated progress toward CPA licensure.

  • Familiarity with financial modeling and valuation methodologies, including discounted cash flow analysis.
  • Experience with Power Query, SQL, Python, or R.
  • Progress toward a forensic accounting or valuation credential such as CFE, CFF, ABV, or CVA.

Culture & Benefits
