Analyst, Portfolio Management (AI)

Location: New York - Park Avenue

Base salary: $100,000–$115,000 annually; annual discretionary bonuses and long-term incentive programs may also be available to eligible employees.

What you will do

• Support quarterly financial planning cycles across portfolio companies, consolidate information, and provide analyses for Portfolio Committee meetings.
• Collect, review, and analyze data across GA’s 250+ portfolio companies, including investment performance, returns, and key company, fund, and portfolio metrics.
• Develop metrics, solve analytical problems, prepare materials for senior-level audiences, and synthesize portfolio and macro data into actionable insights.
• Collaborate with Investment, Capital Solutions, Marketing, Legal, Accounting, Finance, fundraising, finance operations, valuations, and capital markets professionals.
• Support process improvement and new technology initiatives that enable scalable analysis and insight across the team and firm.
• Use AI tools to automate analysis and reporting, pilot applications of AI to portfolio data and workflows, and share effective approaches with colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience is considered.
• At least 1 year of experience in consulting, accounting, corporate finance, or banking.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, and the ability to interpret financial data and related management information.
• Ability to develop presentations using creativity, business judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders, effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to synthesize information.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to own specific parts of projects and work independently with minimal supervision; self-motivated, intellectually curious, resourceful, and team-oriented.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Glean, Copilot, or similar platforms to improve analysis, automate work, and streamline workflows; candidates should be prepared to discuss specific examples.

Nice to have

• Experience or exposure to planning and reporting or data visualization tools such as PowerBI or iLevel.
