What you will do

• Draft and prosecute U.S. patent applications supporting the Acute Care Technology Division.
• Develop strategic patent portfolios and manage a multi-faceted IP portfolio.
• Lead brainstorming sessions and prepare new ideas for the IP review committee.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and technical teams to identify and evaluate inventions.
• Ensure high-quality patent filings aligned with competitive product offerings.

Requirements

• Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or Graduate degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Background in electrical, mechanical, biomedical engineering and/or computer science/software.
• 3-5 years of experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications within a law firm or corporation.
• Proven experience in managing patent portfolios.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement based in Chelmsford, MA.
