TL;DR

Software Engineer (SaaS): Building and rearchitecting billing systems, including tax determination and automated invoice collection with an accent on scalability and AI integration. Location: Hybrid (London). Must be based within commuting distance of the London hub (3 days per week onsite). Relocation assistance may be available for certain roles.

What you will do

• Own the entire feature lifecycle from identifying customer pain points to design, coding, deployment, and measuring impact.
• Architect scalable systems and data models for tax determination, async invoice issuance, and self-serve collection services.
• Define and uphold engineering excellence across the stack, including API versioning, caching strategies, and CI/CD optimizations.
• Establish frontend architecture patterns, including state management and comprehensive E2E testing with Cypress.
• Lead observability and SRE practices, defining SLOs and managing incident responses.
• Leverage and develop AI-augmented workflows and agentic coding practices to extend system capabilities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer capable of translating business goals into technical roadmaps.
• Strong expertise in system architecture, data modeling, and managing technical debt.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and aligning stakeholders across multiple teams.
• Ability to mentor and coach less experienced colleagues through direct feedback and design reviews.
• Must be based within commuting distance of the London hub.
• English: Professional working proficiency required.
