What you will do

• Conduct detailed KYC, EDD, and ODD investigations across consumer and merchant populations.
• Analyze transaction activity and behavioral patterns to identify potential suspicious activity or financial crime risks.
• Perform sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening reviews and investigations.
• Support onboarding reviews in alignment with AML/CFT regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Document investigations and risk decisions to ensure full auditability and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to quality assurance processes and the continuous improvement of KYC/AML procedures.

Requirements

• Solid experience in KYC/AML within Fintech, Payments, Banking, or Financial Services.
• Hands-on experience with Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), transaction monitoring, and sanctions/PEP screening.
• Strong analytical skills to identify suspicious behaviors and emerging financial crime risks.
• Deep understanding of AML/CFT regulations and risk-based decision-making frameworks.
• Fluent English, both written and verbal.
• Must be based in Lisbon, Portugal.
