Solution Architect (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own and facilitate the Architectural Advice Forum (AAF) to drive decentralized decision-making captured as ADRs.
• Develop production-grade Proofs of Concept (POCs) to validate architectural patterns and de-risk new technologies.
• Partner with the CTO to define and implement the bank's AI strategy and integrate AI responsibly into the SDLC.
• Establish and maintain engineering quality standards across backend, web, and mobile platforms.
• Implement security-first architecture using threat modeling and defense-in-depth patterns.
• Collaborate with SRE teams to improve reliability, observability, and the internal developer platform.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in an Architect or Staff role.
• Proven track record as a hands-on architect who regularly writes and reviews production code.
• Deep expertise in distributed event-driven systems and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Experience in regulated fintech, payments, or banking environments.
• Expertise in security-first architecture, threat modeling, and identity management.
• Must be based in or near a CET-compatible timezone.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in crypto, Web3, custody, or blockchain-based systems.
• Familiarity with Team Topologies (Stream Aligned, Platform, and Enabling teams).
• Proficiency in Python.
• Background in SRE, platform engineering, or open-source contributions.
