What you will do

• Architect and implement scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and Express.
• Design and maintain data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Own schema design, query optimization, and scaling across relational and NoSQL databases.
• Manage AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and system monitoring.
• Contribute to and review React-based frontend code as needed.
• Mentor junior developers and enforce engineering standards across the team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional backend engineering experience with production systems.
• Deep expertise in Node.js or Python and SQL (Postgres preferred).
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code.
• Proven experience building data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Must be proficient with AI coding tools like Cursor or Copilot in daily workflows.
• Working knowledge of React for code reviews and contributions.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven systems like Kafka or Pub/Sub.
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as Airflow or dbt.
• Background in health tech or high-growth startup environments.
• Experience with third-party payment integrations like Stripe.
