Cyber Security Analyst (Cloud/SaaS): Supporting the design and implementation of cybersecurity controls across a cloud-first environment with an accent on monitoring, detection, and regulatory compliance. Focus on enhancing detection capabilities, enforcing Zero Trust principles, and managing data protection controls in Azure and M365.

Location: Remote (Must be based in Canada)

Salary: $100,000 – $105,000

What you will do

• Operate enterprise cybersecurity controls aligned with NIST CSF and CIS Critical Security Controls.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts, leading incident response, triage, and root cause analysis.
• Enforce Zero Trust principles across identity, endpoint, network, and application layers.
• Manage data protection and information security controls using Microsoft Purview, including DLP and sensitivity labels.
• Support security risk assessments and provide evidence for SOX/CSOX, GDPR, and HIPAA audits.
• Identify opportunities to automate security processes and track operational efficiency metrics.

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework and CIS Critical Security Controls.
• Understanding of Zero Trust and identity-centric security architectures.
• Knowledge of GRC concepts, including audit expectations for SOX, GDPR, and HIPAA.
• Ability to translate complex security concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be based in Canada.

Nice to have

• Post-secondary education in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or Computer Science.
• CISSP Certification.
• 5–8+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles.
• Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell or Python.
• Experience working in highly regulated industry environments.
