What you will do

• Evaluate vendor responses to RFIs and RFPs for satellite components.
• Perform thermal design studies and evaluate ConOps restrictions for high-stability systems.
• Conduct launch studies utilizing satellite and stack models.
• Develop Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and verify requirement sell-off.
• Oversee and ensure system compliance with structural and thermal requirements.
• Review vendor design packages, analysis reports, and test data.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aerospace, physics, or a related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in space systems engineering and analysis.
• Proficiency in CAD and FEA tools for structural modeling and launch stack evaluation.
• Experience building and tuning thermal models for space-based systems.
• Ability to analyze acoustic, vibration, and shock test data for launch vehicle compliance.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with Earth observation space programs.
• Background in hardware procurement.
• End-to-end aerospace program experience, including ConOps, AIT, V&V, and on-orbit operations.
• Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance at the TS/SCI level.
