What you will do

• Develop conceptual designs and contract documents for state-of-the-art communications networks and data centers.
• Establish design criteria, write specifications, and prepare cost estimates for transit projects.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and cutover activities in active rail and transit environments.
• Review contractor designs to ensure compliance with project specifications and client needs.
• Collaborate with local and remote team members to achieve project goals.
• Define security requirements for protecting critical network and electronic infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, IT, or Computer Science.
• At least 10 years of experience with communications infrastructure in transit or transportation.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and BICSI standards.
• Experience designing fiber-based systems, including outside plant and data centers.
• Understanding of network throughput, latency, and reliability performance.
• Experience designing CCTV and Public Address systems.

Nice to have

• BICSI RCDD certification.
• PE or EIT licensure.
• Experience with Cisco technologies.
• Experience in the North American transit industry.
