What you will do
- Build and test dynamic discrete-event simulation models to optimize production, costs, and capital outcomes.
- Analyze operational and design data to support simulation studies and scenario assessments.
- Conduct site observations and surveys at industrial facilities.
- Develop spreadsheet-based analytical models and perform complex calculations.
- Prepare technical reports outlining methods, findings, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams across the global business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Science with a strong foundation in mathematics and statistics.
- Programming experience in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Java, C++, C#, or VBA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate clearly.
- Must be based in Brisbane, Australia.
- Willingness to travel, including time spent on remote sites and international assignments.
Nice to have
- Exposure to discrete-event simulation tools such as AnyLogic, Arena, or Simul8.
