What you will do

• Advise executives on legal compliance, new laws, and regulatory risks.
• Manage the company's legal matters, including litigation, claims, and outside counsel relationships.
• Oversee data privacy obligations, including DSARs, privacy assessments, and data processing agreements.
• Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and privacy training.
• Lead a team of attorneys and legal professionals responsible for compliance responsibilities.
• Conduct internal investigations and respond to regulatory inquiries.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
• Active admission to the bar of a US jurisdiction with the ability to practice in North Carolina.
• 7+ years of practice with an established law firm or corporate legal department.
• Proficient experience in data privacy and regulatory compliance, including CPRA and GDPR.
• Prior US employment law experience.
• Experience with Money Transmission Modernization Act and NACHA.
