ePowertrain System Integration Engineer (Electric Vehicles)

ePowertrain System Integration Engineer (Electric Vehicles): Responsible for the system-level integration, design, and validation of ePowertrain systems with an accent on the optimal collaboration among motors, inverters, drivetrains, and control software. Focus on translating customer needs into practical system-level solutions, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams, and conducting root-cause investigations for prototype performance.

Location: Onsite in Qingdao, China (five days a week)

What you will do

• Define and maintain system architecture, interfaces, and functional decomposition for ePowertrain systems.
• Translate system requirements into executable design specifications, integration solutions, and validation plans.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, software, and controls teams to drive system design decisions and resolve issues.
• Participate in prototype build, performance analysis, testing, and root-cause investigation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to optimize component selection and system performance.
• Prepare and maintain system-level technical documentation, test reports, and engineering change records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, controls, or a related engineering field.
• Professional project experience related to ePowertrain, electric drive systems, or new energy vehicles.
• Experience in system integration, system validation, or vehicle/powertrain-level testing.
• Strong systems thinking ability to manage interdependencies within complex systems.
• Proficiency in structured analysis, root-cause investigation, and technical decision-making.
• Must work onsite five days a week in Qingdao, China.
