What you will do
- Monitor large-scale construction operations to ensure absolute compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Develop, execute, and maintain site-specific Project Safety Roadmaps to provide technical assistance to project management.
- Conduct comprehensive root-cause incident investigations for near-misses and site occurrences.
- Manage injury and illness cases, coordinating medical care and return-to-work protocols.
- Lead hazard recognition assessments and deliver proactive safety coaching and CPR/First Aid training.
- Apply electrical industry consensus standards (NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI) to live field operations.
Requirements
- Current, valid BCSP certification (e.g., CHST, ASP, CSP, SMS, or OHST).
- Minimum 3 years of construction safety experience in large-scale, non-residential projects (commercial, industrial, civil, or utility infrastructure).
- Valid OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to work in outdoor settings, navigate uneven terrain, work at heights, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Nice to have
- Safety experience within electrical utility, substation, transmission, or commercial electrical sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Construction Management, Engineering, or Business.
- CPR/First Aid Trainer certification.
